Belair is a suburb in Adelaide located on the southeastern foothill of Mount Lofty Ranges. The area was used as a source of woods during the establishment of Adelaide. Some parts of Belair offer the views of the Adelaide city and the ocean.

There are several stories of naming this area. Some say it was named after a Government surveyor Eugene Bellairs who lived in this area. Another theory says that Gustav Ludewigs may have named this town Bel Air after his wife's birthplace.

Belair National Park is the major tourist attraction of this suburb. It is the oldest national park of South Australia. It is also the home to Old Government House, an important heritage building in the state. Tourists can explore this traditional building with a guided tour.

Tourists can do many other activities in the park. While walking along the Jubilee Drive, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the park and surrounding hills. Tourists also enjoy horse riding in Tom Roberts Trail. There are several marked trails throughout the park for bushwalking.

On the western side of the park, there are big fields that people can hire for sports such as tennis, cricket and soccer. The field has shelters and toilets and has facilities for the barbecue.

Another popular activity in this park is mountain biking. Tourists can ride their bicycles in the designated trails in the park.

Camping is not allowed within the park area. However, there are several accommodation options available in the adjacent Belair National Park caravan park including tent camping and family cabins.

Windy Point Lookout is another place of attraction in Belair. It is located on the top of Adelaide hill along the Belair road. It offers a splendid view of the Adelaide city and the ocean behind.

Belair is only 11 km from Adelaide and takes about 15 minutes from the Adelaide city center. There are also rail lines that connect Belair with Adelaide.
